S*$@ on a Shingle

It's been relatively low key at the McDowell household recently because dan has shingles. For those that don't know, shingles is an adult form of chicken pox. It is SUPER painful and dan has been out of commission with it now for almost 2 weeks.

I feel so bad for him because there isn't much you can do...he wakes up and says even his teeth hurt from the shingles he has on his face.

It's starting to clear up a little but the pain is still there. So we've been pretty homebound lately.

Project Runway Video Game

I just heard that there is going to be a Project Runway Video Game for Wii coming out soon.

You get to be a contestant on the show, design clothes for your "model" for different challenges, pick out their hair, makeup and accessories...just like on the show.

I am a huge project runway fan and think this is a game I would totally love to play!

So Dan is an avid video game player...xbox, ps3, you name it, we have it.

2 weekends ago, he dragged me to Game Stop so he could trade in some games and offered to buy me a game to play. I picked out a game called "Little Big Planet" based on a recommendation from Dan's friend.

I am hooked! It's so fun....you are a little sack person and you can change their outfits while you play different levels/challenges. It kinda reminds me back in day when my sisters and I would spend the entire day playing the original super mario brothers.

I absolutely adore my family!

Last night I went to my mom's house for dinner with my sisters Sarah and Rheanna. It was so nice hanging out just us girls.

I am super close to my family and speak to my sisters about 4 times a week at least.

It's fun to just be silly/stupid and hang out with my favorite girls!

And my mom is a great cook and last night had 4 different desserts!

Day 1

I have officially decided today is Day 1 to my best life ever.

I've been slacking off a lot lately...not working out, eating crappy food, not giving my 100% at work and I decided this morning that all of that changes TODAY!

I definitely need to get back on track and get my butt into shape...not just working out, but being productive after work, eating right, etc.

That being said...I'd better log off and get back to work!

Totally Dazzled

I am a shoe lover, always have been, always will be. THe higher the heel the better!

A friend introduced me to the website www.shoedazzle.com....I am hooked! It's founded by Kim Kardashian and basically how it works is when you sign up, you pay $39.95 a month and every month Kim Kardashian and her team of stylists send you a pair of shoes. You answer questions each month about what style shoes you're looking for, you pick pictures of celebrity styles you like the best and then they send you an email with 5 choices of shoes they think you'll like and you pick a pair and presto...you get those shoes in the mail within the week.

If you don't like the shoes selections one month, you can ask for more selections, you can pick one of the "hot shoes of the month" or you can choose to skip that month and you won't be charged.

I just picked my second month's selection and I love getting a new pair of hot shoes each month for $40!

2010 Goals

I'm not really much of a goal setting person, but I figured this year why not try to come up with a few goals that I hope to accomplish.

I posted them on here as a way of holding myself accountable for them and trying to cross them off my list.

1. Be in the best shape of my life by my 30th bday in May
2. Finally legally change my last name
3. Take a photography class
4. Go to Europe
5. Take my family on vacation
