Dan travels so much for work that he had so many miles and hotel points racked up that we booked a weekend trip to Seattle with our friends Steve and Sarita and joked that we were just going for coffee.
We left Friday afternoon to Seattle. We stayed at the Westin in downtown Seattle and because Dan is a platinum member he got upgraded to a huge 2 bedroom suite. The view was fantastic....great views of the city and an amazing view of hte Space Needle.

We went to THE BEST dinner at Metropolitan Grill on Friday night. It was so fantastic! Dan had Chateubriand and I had Alaskan King Crab....and we can't forget about our Calamari, Mushroom Platter and lobster mac & cheese appetizers! **All four of us shared the appetizers, we aren't complete pigs :)
On Saturday, Dan had to work at the Seattle Urban Challenge (a fun event where contestants race around seattle scavenger hunt style using their HTC cell phones to get their next clues), so Sarita, Steve and myself went to Pike's Place Market for coffee, amazing breakfast pastries, and to watch the fish guys do their thing at the market.

We met up with Dan and then went to the top of the Space Needle. We chose the best day for the space needle...clear skies, warm weather and best of all it was fleet week in Seattle and while we were at the top of the Needle, we got to see the Blue Angels fly right in front of us.
Here's a pic looking up at the space needle before we ventured to the top

Such a great day to see the city from the top

I had to leave on Saturday because I had a girls trip to Napa planned (tough life right?)the following day but the rest of the gang stayed until Sunday.
I have been to Seattle twice now and honestly think I could consider moving there, except for the damn rain!
