On Friday (dan's actual birthday), I took him to Olive Garden for dinner...before you laugh, Dan's favorite food is and always has been Tortellini's. He was talking the other day about how much he missed tortellinis (we are both on a low carb diet and tort's are a no-go) so as a special treat we went to our old favorite restaurant :) Neither of us had been to olive garden in about 10 years. Plus I had a gift card that pretty much covered our entire meal.
After we stuffed ourselves of cheap wine, endless breadsticks and pasta, we headed to the movies. Not much was playing that late, so we ended up seeing Scream 4. I actually liked it. I hate scary movies so I like the Scream movies because they totally aren't scary.
On Saturday, I surprised Dan with tickets to see Jerry Seinfeld perform. Dan's all time favorite show is Seinfeld, he loved his surprise!
I started off with having our friends Joel and Sarah over (they came with us to the show). We had champagne in the backyard and then we had dan's other favorite treat...dominoes pizza :)
We didn't tell dan where we were going until we got there and he saw the marquee. It was fun being able to surprise him!
