I am not good at keeping my house perfectly clean, orderly, and organized at all times.
Growing up my mom was (and still is) THE best at having a spotless house at all times. Her dishes are always done, the laundry gets folded and put away straight from the dryer, grass is always nicely mowed, counters are spotless, rugs are always freshly vaccumed.
When i first moved out i realized how much constant work it is to keep a house that clean. Don't get me wrong, I consider myself neat but at any given time you could walk into my house and find a basket of laundry to be folded, a stray coffee cup in the sink waiting to be washed, a pile of mail sitting on the kitchen counter, etc.
I used to feel bad and that I should be cleaning more, but I honestly just enjoy doing other things so much more than cleaning my house.
Then I saw this quote and thought....this sums we up in a nutshell :) I also believe it's true for me. It may not apply to everyone because in no way am i saying my mom's life is misspent, she's just so much more ogranized that I am.
"A perfectly kept house is a sign of a misspent life"
